Meet Our Girls' Coaches
Dickson Jensen
President
Dickson Jensen, founder of All Iowa Attack Basketball in 2004, has been coaching and running the program for the past six years. Since the first years of the Attack program, Dickson has seen large developments. His passion and dedication to what he does have helped the program grow into one of the nation’s top clubs. It represents the desire to promote youth basketball and to establish an arena to develop leaders among the youth in the state of Iowa. Dickson Jensen is also the founder of the Jensen Group enterprise, which includes Jensen Property Management, Jensen Design Build, Jensen Development Corporation, The Harvester Golf Club, and All Iowa Attack Basketball.
Dickson is an ISU alum with an engineering degree and two masters degrees. He is also an example of what it means to be Dad and a husband of a large family. Dickson has been married to his wife Luann for 24 years and they have five children: Blake (21), Ally (20), Samantha (18), Mason (15), and Kolby (13).
Building a tradition of excellence, Dickson has guided this program in selecting high-level coaches as well as quality character kids that are responsible, respectful, and hard workers on the basketball court as well in life.
Jensen previously stated, “As you can see, to me it is about the kids and their gain for their lives now and in the future. Luann and I love kids and desire to influence them positively in these very influential years in their lives. A good kind of influence, that is honest, giving and yet firm and directive. To do this, the excellent staff of All Iowa Attack has worked very hard and are committed to continue to do this today and in the future.”
Justin Morton
Girls Coach
Coach Morton has been coaching with All Iowa Attack since May 2008. Justin is currently coaching at Roland Story High School and brings 6 years of coaching experience from Roland Story, Nevada, Colfax-Mingo, and Colo-Nesco school districts.
Justin, an Iowa State University graduate, prepped at CAL Community School, Latimer, IA, where he was a 3 year starter, letter winner and Honorable Mention All-Conference in basketball.

Ken Johnson
Girls Coach
Coach Johnson, former Head Girls Basketball coach at Dell Rapids St. Mary’s in Dell Rapids, SD (1991-1992), brings 11 years of coaching expertise to the Attack program. Prior to joining the Attack program six years ago, Ken coached the Iowa Maroons AAU club (1996-1998). He was also very active in the Dowling Athletic Club (Des Moines). As a prep, Ken was All Conference at Salem, SD in his senior year.
Randy Mauro
Girls Coach
Randy has been involved with coaching basketball for the past 20+ years. He is currently in his 3rd year as the boy’s assistant varsity coach at Des Moines Lincoln. Prior to that, he held the same position at Dowling for 5 years. Randy spent a total of 10 years coaching at his alma mater. His initial years of coaching were working with elementary and junior high boys and girls. He has great passion for the game and loves teaching the game of basketball to kids. Randy and his wife Jodi have 3 children, Morgan (17), Mason (17), and Gabi (13).
Betsy Devenney
Girls Coach
Betsy is a sophomore at Iowa State University studying business. While in high school, she was a very good basketball player at Dowling and had to deal with a season ending ankle injury during her senior year of high school. She has always been a hard worker and knew how to lead her team. While playing for the Attack she gave everything that she had and keeps on giving! She knows the game well from the point guard position, has a fun-spirited attitude, and easily relates to girls of all ages.

Ally Jensen
Girls Coach
Ally is a 2009 McDonald’s All-America nominee. Throughout her four years in high school, Ally led her teams to a combined 100-7 record. She earned all-state accolades as a junior and senior, as well as being a three-time all-area honoree and four-time all-conference pick, earning first-team all-conference in her final three seasons. She led her team to a 26-1 record and state championship as a senior. The Bombers won four straight 16-0 Raccoon River Conference championships. Ally owns the school record for most three-pointers (220) and steals (261) in a career, and she also set the school record with seven three-pointers made in a game.
In addition to basketball, she also earned four letters in golf, being named to the All State team her senior year. She lettered in cross country both seasons she participated and helped lead her team to numerous championships and state tournament berths.
Ally has been an All Iowa Attack player since the 4th grade. She is a junior at Creighton University on a full scholarship to play basketball.
Barb Franke-Lorenzen
Girls Coach
Barb is a Cedar Falls graduate and University of Wisconsin graduate. She is on the Wisconsin women’s basketball Hall of Fame. Barb is a 1992 member of USA Basketball junior select team as well as a Big Ten freshman of the year. In 1994 she was a member of the USA Basketball Jones Cup team. With second-team honors in 1994 and 1995, AP All- American honorable mention and WBCA/Kodak first team all-district, both in 1995 and 1996, Barb has achieved many great things in her basketball career. She was a two-time Kodak honorable mention All-America and a three-time team MVP. She was University of Wisconsin’s all-time leading scorer with an impressive 1,994 points. She carried a lifetime scoring average of 17.5 points per game while playing in 114 consecutive games. Barb also led the University of Wisconsin to unprecedented three 20-win seasons and three NCAA bids. In 1998 Barb played with the ABL’s Chicago Condors.
Alayne Ingram
Girls Coach
With over 10 years of experience training girls and boys in basketball skill development, Alayne Ingram began her career as a four-year varsity starter in high-school and became a high school and AAU Street & Smith All-American, state of Michigan Miss Basketball Finalist and two-time Lansing, MI Player of the Year. She is a former stand-out All Big-Ten basketball player from the University of Michigan and as a four year starter for the Wolverines, Ingram finished her career at Michigan ranked first in career three-point field goals made, seventh in scoring and became just the fifth player in Wolverines history to record over 1,400 points and 300 assists. Ingram was drafted to play in the WNBA in 2002 by the Sacramento Monarchs and soon after began her coaching career. Having coached AAU, HS, Junior College and at the NCAA Division I and III levels, she is skilled at teaching athletes the fundamentals of the game as well as how to improve offensively and defensively. As Camp Director and Commissioner for camps all across the country, she teaches individual and group instruction focused on creating better athletes, better basketball players and teammates at all levels.
Deb Yount-Woods
Girls Coach
Coach Deb, has been a former Head Girls Basketball and Volleyball Coach for Bondurant Farrar Schools in the ‘80’s and has been coaching youth girls sports for the last 7 years in the Altoona/Southeast Polk area. Coach Deb is a Simpson College graduate with a B.S. in Education and Business Management after starting 4 years for the woman’s basketball and softball team. Deb received First Team All Conference honors all 4 years for both sports. She also was inducted into the Simpson College Athlete Hall of Fame. Coach Deb also holds two Master degrees from Drake University in Exercise Science and Adult Learning.
Previously she was the Member Service Administrator for the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation, in West Des Moines for 19 years before joining Stroke Detection Plus in Des Moines as their Vice President of Business Development. Coach Deb currently is a board member for the Wellness Council of Iowa, Simpson College Hall of Fame nominating committee and Chairperson for the Iowa Department Public Health, Fit for Life committee.
Coach Deb and her husband Jack reside on an acreage in Altoona with their daughter Jade, along with all of Jade’s pets: five American Saddlebred show horses, three cats, three frogs, two dogs, two turtles, one pigmy goat and one, 350 lb., potbelly pig.
Mike Frisk
Girls Coach
Mike spent the last 10 years as the girls head coach at Roland -Story and compiled a 166 – 68 career record during his tenure. His teams qualified for the State Tournament in the 2008 – 2009 and 2009 – 2010 seasons. Mike has a great passion for the game and enjoys helping players maximize their potential on and off the court. Mike has been named Mid-Iowa Coach of the Year 3 times by Ames Tribune, 2A All-District Coach of the year 2 times and 2A IBCA District Coach of the year twice.
Mike is married to Melanie and they are the proud parents of three girls; Emily, Allison and Mya. Mike is co-owner of First Property Management of Ames where he manages real estate.
Greg Criswell
Girls Coach
Greg comes to AIA with 7 years of head coaching experience at the varisty level at the following high schools; Seymour, Montezuma and Van Meter. He has compiled an overall record of 120 – 42, coached in three State Basketball tournaments as well as coaching at the AAU and club basketball level for 20 years.
Greg and his wife Trisha, have three daughters; two of there daughters; Mariah and Macayla currently play with AIA.
